The Suffolk countryside is a wonderful place to be, and we don’t want anybody to miss out on it. That’s why we’ve gone to great lengths to ensure that our holiday cottages can welcome people from all walks of life with varying levels of physical ability.
Six of our seven holiday cottages feature levels M1 to M3 accessibility for less able visitors, opening up the enjoyment of a farm holiday in this beautiful part of the UK to elderly and disabled guests, including those who rely on wheelchair assistance to get around.
Our accessible holiday cottages
The Old Dairy features the highest level of accessibility with level M3 disabled access suitable for wheelchair users. As well as a spacious twin bedroom and double sofa bed in lounge, the Old Dairy’s kitchen comprises low level worktop and adjustable height sink and hob units.
Our newest and most modern cottages, Fisherman’s Rest and Blacksmith’s Cottage also feature Level M3 disabled access (ground floor only – Blacksmith’s Cottage). Both also have dedicated parking making it easy to get to and from your car with wheelchairs and other luggage. All of these properties are accessed from ground level, with no steps.
Less able visitors can be reassured by Wheelwright’s Cottage’s higher level seating and generously proportioned rooms. Accredited with a Level M1 Accessibility rating, this property is typically suitable for visitors who are able to negotiate small steps – its layout also makes it perfect for pets!
Entered through a spacious enclosed patio, Coachman’s Cottage (ground floor) also holds a Level M1 Accessibility rating, with spacious living area and a ground floor en-suite shower room
