Families love holidaying at Damerons Farm Cottages thanks to our spacious cottages, outside play area, games room and enviable location in the heart of Suffolk.
Close to cycle trails, horse-riding and walking routes, there is plenty of opportunity for families to enjoy the fresh air, wildlife and activities on offer as well as a spot of foraging.
With lots to see and do in and around the farm too, our resident chickens, geese and farm dogs are the first to welcome children of all ages and show them their new, albeit temporary, ‘home’.
All of our cottages come complete with games and books for the whole family to enjoy, whilst the communal games & leisure room, featuring table-tennis, pool, soft skittles, Fußball, TV & DVD player, will enable you to enjoy fun times as a family or to meet new friends.
Self Catering Family Accommodation
Two of our cottages Churn House and Wheelwright’s Cottage feature a lockable inter-connecting door for large family groups to holiday side-by-side, as well as enjoy their own space. Our beautiful Blacksmith’s Cottage meanwhile, is perfect for extended families, with bunk beds in one room, a twin bedroom with ensuite on the ground floor and two double/king-size bedrooms for the adults.
Many of our cottages, including Fishermen’s Rest, are dog-friendly, enabling you to take the whole family with you on your Suffolk holiday – not just those with two legs!
Children & Family Activities in Suffolk
We are very fortunate here in Suffolk to benefit from both countryside and coast; each of which offers its own delights to families such as farm parks, zoos, outdoor activity centres, crab-fishing and row-boating.
For a touch of ‘city-life’ too, towns such as Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge and Felixstowe also offer plenty of indoor options from cinemas and theatres to child-friendly pubs and restaurants.
As an ancient Anglo-Saxon kingdom, East Anglia also enjoys a rich history, much of which can be experienced by visitors through historic family-friendly attractions & sites such as Snape Maltings, Framlingham Castle (Ed Sheeran’s ‘Castle on the Hill!), Sutton Hoo and museums.
