Description
Our first floor one-bedroom apartment boasts panoramic views from the sitting room and oak balcony, across to our meadows (grazed by our flock of Jacob sheep). It also overlooks our large pond which is visited regularly by several breeds of wildfowl, such as Canada, pink footed and grey lag geese, herons, mallard and cormorants, as well as the occasional visit by a master fisherman – an otter!
Light and airy with large windows and glass patio doors opening onto the private wooden balcony, The Hayloft includes a separate double bedroom sleeping 1 – 2 people for a little further privacy during your stay.
At a glance:
- Sleeps up to two people
- Separate double bedroom
- Private shower room
- Dining/lounge area with separate kitchenette
- Microwave, electric oven & hob, fridge
- Flat screen TV and DVD player
- Private wooden balcony with meadow views
Please note: The Hayloft is accessed by an external oak staircase, making it less suitable for visitors with physical disabilities. Due to its first floor positioning, pets are better catered for in one of our other cottages.

Brilliant week in The Hayloft. My favourite. Lots of walks on footpaths. Nice and easy access to Sutton Hoo, Southwold and others on the coast. Nice surprise at the farm they have a newly installed 7Kw electric car charge point, big bonus for us! Complimentary bread, bacon and eggs most welcome and delicious.

We stayed as a large family for a wedding. There were 11 children in our party. What a wonderful experience. The children had plenty to do…fishing, football, walks, sandpit for little ones and the games room. They were allowed to collect eggs too.The adults could relax knowing the children were safe. The cottages were well equipped and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. One of the children actually cried when he had to leave. A fantastic time was had by all.

We had all the cottages for NY. There was 22 of us and we all had a wonderful, amazing time. One of our best New Years! The cottages worked really well for all of us and Sue was lovely and helpful and very accommodating so thank you very much.

For the second time we had a wonderful holiday. My 9-year-old daughter loved helping with the chicken, sheep and especially the horses. Whenever there was some farm work to be done, Samira joined in. I enjoyed going for long walks or simply sat on the little balcony with a cup of tea and a book. The hayloft is a lovely cosy apartment, just perfect for the two of us. We’ll be back next summer.
